Description

Progressive distributors are elements that allow the division and distribution of lubricant in a controlled and precise way. They have a single entrance; the number of outlets depends on the model and configuration.

Design and principle of operation

The lubricant enters under pressure in the distributor. Through the different internal communications, the piston acts on the first plunger causing the movement of the latter and thus giving rise to the first division of lubricant towards the first outlet.

Once the first piston has completed its stroke, the movement of the next piston begins and the lubricant is divided and distributed towards the second outlet, and so on until all the pistons have completed their movement. When the last piston has completed its movement, the cycle begins again in the initial piston, but in the opposite direction, dividing and distributing the lubricant in the opposite outlet. This cycle is repeated continuously as long as there is a supply of lubricant under pressure.

As all the internal pistons are in communication with each other, locking a single plunger will lock the progressive distributor completely. This particularity makes it possible to easily check that the system is working correctly.

To control the operating cycles, visual indicators and also electrical indicators of operation can be placed.
